The fifth generation Range Rover has been voted the Production Car of the Year by an expert panel of designers in the prestigious industry design book, Car Design Review
The Range Rover was matched against a short list of cars launched between April 2021 and September 2022 voted for by fellow designers from rival car makers.
Judges included heads of design from Polestar, Ford, Volvo, Renault and Lamborghini – with the Range Rover emerging as the clear winner. The judges praised the evolution of the iconic car with familiar elements: the long, high nose, clamshell bonnet and raked windscreen, refreshed with subtle changes to the classic three lines that define the Range Rover.
Some comments on the Range Rover from the judges:
“Unmistakably Range Rover – simple, bold and the most elegant luxury SUV.” SangYup Lee, Hyundai.
“Pure. Iconic. I want one.” Derek Jenkins, Lucid.
“For someone who knows what a challenge maintaining purity throughout the process can be, this car and its creators have my full respect.” Maximilian Missoni, Polestar.
