Matthias Hossann has been appointed design director at Peugeot. He will take the lead on all Peugeot design work across the marque’s broad portfolio.
Hossann succeeds Gilles Vidal, who is leaving Groupe PSA.
”I am delighted to entrust this mission to one of the most talented designers of his generation, who has illuminated the future of the Peugeot brand and who will henceforth be able to put his talent to serve the brand’s customers,” commented Jean Pierre Ploué, style director of Groupe PSA.
Hossann graduated from the Strate design school in Paris before joining Groupe PSA’s style department in 2002. He has held various positions, including working at the centre of Shanghai style for five years. His latest role was working on the design of concept cars at Peugeot, including the e-Legend. He also helped design the latest additions of the 208 and 2008.
